Washington Square Park

This 2.85-acre historic park also known as “Bughouse Square” features a floral garden and fountain and is Chicago’s oldest small park. Every July, it is the site of the Bughouse Square Debates free speech gathering, which is held at the same time as the annual book sale across the street at the Newberry Library.
